Help with custom objects, modifying values and saving/reloading

Hello,

I would like to ask for help about the following topic :

 

I would like a for my users to be able to click on a button and that button makes it so that a specific Text Field value is modified to a value and then whole the record is saved and reloaded.

 

Can you help me doing this please ? I'm able to create a custom object to generate the button, but I'm not able to modify the text field nor save the changes done.

I have already checked the video at Introduction to Custom Objects with RSA Archer - YouTube  .
