From time to time, you just need to update your look. A new coat of paint. A new sense of style. It can bring a new energy and a fresh perspective to what’s old and comfortable. For RSA Archer, we decided the time was ripe to do a little remodeling of our own.

As part of our ongoing efforts to modernize the look and feel of RSA Archer, we’re rolling out some updates to reports and icons. These changes are available to any customer running RSA Archer 6.5 or greater and can be optionally enabled by a system administrator.

 

Reporting Updates

The first update adds new default appearance configurations to global reports. This will not impact the contents of any reports (filters, sorting, etc.), but gives them a brighter and cleaner finish via new color pallets, backgrounds, and shading.

How Can I Get These?

These updates are available via a SQL script that can be obtained from Customer Support. On premise customers can open a support ticket to request a copy of the script. Hosted customers can submit a request to Support to have the script applied to their RSA Archer instance(s). If you would like to manually apply the changes to individual reports rather than running the script, please refer to the instructions in the attached ”Manually Updating Reports to Match New RSA Standard.docx”.

 

Image Updates

We’ve also released a new library of images in alignment with the styling of the new reports. This includes an updated pallet and a flatter finish for all icons shipped out-of-the-box, such as those used to communicate risk level or task statuses. This update will apply anywhere the image is used in the platform, including dashboards, reports, and record pages.

How Can I Get These?

 

Non-RSA Hosted

 

Non-hosted customers can apply the image updates by updating the company files directory. For instructions, please refer to the attached “Manually Updating Reports to Match New RSA Standard.docx” and “Icon Refresh.zip.”

 

***Note: This will replace all identically named icons in your company files/icons directory.  The change in the UI will be immediate.  It is recommended to take a backup of the icons directory prior to applying these steps.  Any custom icons you have manually added (assuming they are not using the same name as a previously provided RSA stock graphic) will not be impacted. If you would like to revert back to the original RSA Archer icons used prior to 6.5, you can restore the icon directory backup or update the images again using the “legacy icons” subfolder in the attached “Icon Refresh.zip.”

 

RSA Hosted

 

For hosted instances, clients will need to open a new Customer Support ticket to request a manual update through our SaaS Operations team.

While looking at the RSA SaaS 6.6 environments I've noticed cosmetic improvements to the Policy Centre dashboard. It includes new HTML iViews + new graphics, same for the Control Procedure form. We've just upgraded our on-prem from 6.5 to 6.6, but we're not seeing those? Still the same layout/appearance.

Bumped into this page and saw the unanswered question - hopefully you already found your answer! 

That said, I wanted to capture it in case someone else ran into it. 

 

The iviews and other solution updates are not deployed as platform updates - we wouldn't want to override any work you had done to them! Instead, the changes are available in the Solution Packages - https://community.rsa.com/community/products/archer-grc/archer-customer-partner-community/solutions 

You can choose which components of the package you want to add (Workspaces, dashboards, applications, etc. )
