You heard correctly!  The newly designed Archer Community is live and we can't wait for you to take a peek. 

Early on, Archer customers had a huge desire to get together and learn from each other.  Thus the Archer Summit was born.  But this community of risk professionals wanted more – they wanted to keep their conversations from the Summit going all year long.  In 2007, the first online Archer Community was launched to keep our risk friends “chatting” in between our yearly Summit conversations.  And that online Archer community has grown and grown - in participants, content, and expertise.  Over the years, we've also outgrown the technology platforms that we have used to house our risk expertise.

Last spring, the Archer team decided to embark on a new community journey that would customize the experience for Risk Managers and Archer Admins. We decided that the best approach was to simply start over and create an improved user experience that makes sense to you, our users.  

The first step in this journey was to simplify your navigation experience. We had two choices: create a simple, yet deep navigation OR create a more complex, but shallow navigation structure (similar to what is available on the Archer section of RSA Link today).  Based feedback from 179 of your Community peers, we landed on a simple, yet deep navigation that focuses on 6 specific areas of content:

  • Archer Academy - training
  • Archer Ideas
  • Discussions
  • News, Events & Groups - blogs, user groups, Archer Summit presentations, Working Groups, schedules for Roadmap and working group sessions and more
  • Product - advisories, release information, downloads, documentation, tips & tricks and more
  • Support - knowledge base, access to the case portal and more

In addition to the new tile navigation available on the home page and subsequent landing pages, we also have a new "hamburger" clickable menu that will help you traverse the Archer Community navigation. You can click through the entire hierarchy of the Community navigation navigating to a specific category of information that interests you.

How about searching the Community, you ask?  The top navigation provides a mechanism to search all content in the Archer Community or within the specific category you are viewing. It allows the typeahead functionality providing a drop down of potential options you can choose from. And an advanced search capability provides mechanisms for you to find content by location, by author, date range, meta data and more.

Wondering how you can participate in this great new experience?  Existing RSA Link users should have received an email in the last 24 hours with instructions on how to login to the new Archer Community.  We recommend that you follow these instructions as soon as you receive the email.  We also have a brand new SIMPLE registration process for new users accessing the Archer Community to become a part of this rich risk practitioner experience - one that does not require your organization's Archer product license key or serial number to participate.
