We are excited to announce the availability of Archer Engage Portal v3.1.0. This release is packed with some cool features that we have all been waiting for.

This release will enhance Engage with the following capabilities:

  • Select single or multiple values in a Values List using a drop-down.
  • Provide additional information through the Other Text field if other options are selected in the Values List.
  • Format responses in the Text Area field using HTML formatting.
  • Identify a request in Dashboard and Email notification through an Identifier.

Values List Enhancements

         1. Select single or multiple values using a drop-down

Values List with display control as a drop-down, list box, and values pop-up will be displayed as a drop-down in Engage. In case of a single selection, the drop-down will close after an option is selected. In case of multiple selections, the drop-down will remain open even after an option is selected.

         2. Other Text Supported

To provide more context on the option selected in the Values List, the Other Text field is now supported in the Engage portal. When the Other Text field is displayed, it will be a mandatory field.

Rich Text Editor for Text Area

Engage users will now see the formatted content in the Text Area as it is set in Archer. We’ve added a Rich Text Editor in the portal which enables users to format their responses.

Request Identifier

Engage users found it difficult to identify and differentiate various requests without navigating into an assessment. We’ve now made an enhancement for identifying each request in the Dashboard and Email notification.

We’ve configured the key field for the record as the default Identifier. If you want to set a different field as an Identifier, you can set the same using the Identifier field ID in the custom object. The field type (Text/Numeric/Date/Tracking Id) can be configured as the Identifier field.

Note: If a key field or Identifier field value is not available in Engage, the record ID is set as the Identifier. For old requests, the record ID is displayed as the Identifier in the dashboard.

The Email notification for any request published after this release will contain the Identifier information in the subject line and in the body of the notification.

Here is the format of the subject line in the invitation email:
[ACTION REQUIRED] Complete new request <Request Name>, <Identifier> from <Company Name>

Once the user logs into the portal, an additional column with the column title ‘Identifier’ is displayed, which helps get the context of the request without navigating into the request.
