You asked, and we delivered. And we are genuinely psyched about bringing you these new features - not just because we delivered a feature you requested, but because this is the first step towards helping you leverage a single identity to access multiple Archer products.

What does it mean? Archer Identity Provider (IDP) allows you to create one login and then use it to connect to multiple Archer products. Also, you don't need to wait for your Admin to create your account. Instead, you can do it yourself! But, of course, your Administrators or Risk Managers will still have control over the access to data in those products.

Not all Archer products work that way right now, but if you have an Archer Community login, you can use the same identity/login for Archer Engage (for Business Users) or vice versa. And soon, Archer Engage for Vendors will also leverage the Archer IDP.

How to create an account?

There are a few ways to get started. You could:

  1. Receive an email inviting you to participate in an assessment or add more information to a record. Click on a link in the email that will take you to the login screen. There, select the option to create a new account and follow the easy registration steps.
  2. Or you may receive the Engage for Business Users URL from your Archer admins or Risk Managers. This link will take you to the login page where you can select the option to create a new account.
  3. Or you can create an account on the Archer Community and use it for Archer Engage.

How to use Single Sign-On?

To use SSO, you will need assistance from your Archer Admin. First, your Archer Admin needs to request our Support team connect your organization's Identity Provider with the Archer Identity provider. Once they are connected, you don't need to create an account for Engage; your corporate account will work. When you log in with your corporate credentials, the Archer Identity Provider will contact your Corporate Identity provider to authenticate your credentials before giving you access to Archer Engage (for Business Users).

What if there is already an account?

If you already have an account in Archer Engage (for Business Users), you need to do a small task. Since we introduced the new Archer Identity Provider, it doesn't know your password to verify your credentials. Therefore, if your Admin has not set up SSO configuration for Engage, you need to create a new account when you connect to Archer Engage for the first time. Please use the same email ID you used to create the previous account. It will ensure that you have access to all the content that was previously accessible to you in Archer Engage.

And before I forget, you must connect to Archer Engage v1.1.0 or later to use these capabilities.
