RSA2016.JPG

On January 1, 2016, RSA changed the way RSA Archer GRC solutions are packaged and delivered to our customers. This document provides further details on the changes being made and how these changes will benefit our customers. You can also contact your RSA sales representative for additional information and support.

What is the new RSA Archer product packaging?

The new packaging aligns with major RSA Archer GRC solutions:

  • Audit Management
  • Business Resiliency
  • Third Party Governance
  • IT & Security Risk Management
  • Regulatory & Corporate Compliance Management
  • Enterprise & Operational Risk Management
  • Public Sector solutions

Each solution is comprised of a series of specific GRC use cases. These RSA Archer use cases can be implemented based on your organizations needs and GRC challenges. Over time, you can add new use cases to meet your changing GRC requirements and the enhanced maturity level of your GRC program.

Why is RSA changing the RSA Archer product packaging?

RSA’s primary mission is to make our customers successful and help them achieve their strategic business objectives by consistently providing best in class solutions and services. This focus on customer success was the major driver for RSA in improving how we package and deliver RSA Archer solutions and services to our customers.

The new RSA Archer packaging simplifies and speeds deployment. It makes it much easier to select the specific tools and solutions you need to solve your organization’s unique GRC challenges, while reducing the time and effort associated with standing up a GRC program. It provides integrated use cases focused on key processes that work together to mature your GRC program, allowing your organization’s program to grow incrementally as your needs change.

RSA recognizes that not all organizations have the same GRC needs or maturity levels. It is common for organizations that are just beginning their GRC programs to have more basic needs than organizations with mature GRC programs in place spanning the three lines of defense. The new RSA Archer use case packaging enables us to better support the varying needs of our customers by providing specific GRC use cases that best match our customers’ business and GRC maturity needs, while reducing the historical cost and complexity associated with GRC deployments.

How does the new packaging impact RSA Archer customers?

For new customers:

You can select one or more RSA Archer use cases to build a tailored configuration matching your unique GRC requirements. RSA sales teams will work with you to help identify and define your GRC requirements and select the RSA Archer use cases that best match your specific requirements.

For existing customers:

You can transition to the new use case packaging during your term renewal process; you will continue to use RSA Archer solutions with the current licensing scheme throughout the remainder of your current licensing term. (RSA Archer customers that plan to migrate to the RSA Archer 6.1 platform, when it becomes available, will need to transition to the new use case licensing.) The RSA Archer sales team will work with you to help you manage the transition to the new use case packaging and licensing. You can reach out to your RSA sales representative for more information. Our commitment to you is to ensure that all functionality you have currently licensed transitions to the new model.

Existing customers can also leverage the new use case approach to add to your portfolio of RSA Archer solutions. Consult with your RSA sales representative to learn more.

How will the new packaging affect the RSA Archer portfolio?

RSA Archer products have been incorporated into the new RSA Archer use case packaging. From a functional perspective, the new use case packaging provides the same functionality and capabilities. What is changing is the naming and configuration of RSA Archer solutions.  The new RSA Archer use cases contain all of the applications, reports, questionnaires, etc., necessary to support each use case. This eliminates the need to license and implement broader products, like RSA Archer Enterprise Management.

How does the new packaging affect RSA Archer Focused Solutions?

On January 1, 2016, RSA moved all applications and integrations classified as RSA Archer Focused Solutions to the new RSA Link Community. While RSA is discontinuing sales and development of these products, we will continue to make them available to RSA Archer customers on RSA Link as non-RSA supported products. RSA will follow the standard End of Primary Support (EOPS) policies as outlined on RSA.com: http://www.emc.com/support/rsa/eops/index.htm.

Where can I get more information about the new RSA Archer use cases?

A complete listing of the new RSA Archer use cases can be found on the new RSA Link community (https://community.rsa.com/docs/DOC-40093), along with use case overviews, descriptions, capabilities and benefits. Additional information on the RSA Archer use cases will be available in early Q1 2016. Specific questions regarding the new RSA Archer use cases can be directed to your RSA sales representative.

We thank you for your continued support and look forward to working with you as a partner in your GRC program’s success. If you have any questions, please contact you RSA Sales representative.
