We are excited to add 3 enhancements to the new chart functionality that we released in RSA Archer 6.7. With these enhancements you will have improved usability and enhanced visual experience of working with RSA Archer reports.

Hide No-Selection from Risk Maps

This has been a frequent ask; the ability to hide (No Selection) from Risk Maps. We have now added a new option on the chart toolbar that enables you to hide the additional row and column (No Selection) that gets added on a Risk Map created using non-mandatory fields. This new options only appears for a Risk Map.

Configurable Legends

With the new charts we introduced the concept of ‘Live Filtering’, filtering data out of charts by clicking on a specific legend item. We heard a lot of good feedback about this change and how easy it is to use. However there are scenarios where you would like to drill through to an entire series of data with a single click. For example you want to see all the 'High' risks in the example below.

We are introducing a new functionality, for applicable charts based on multiple groups, where you can determine the legend behavior for every chart individually. We have added a new option in the legend section of the chart toolbar, where you will be able to determine if the legend allows you to filter out data points or drill through them.

With 2 options available now for legends, we have left filter as the default option as you are already used to this behavior. Additionally we have also added text above the legend, for applicable charts, to inform the user of the chosen behavior. For charts where Drill Through is the chosen legend behavior we also now display the cumulative series numbers next to the series name within the legend.

Date Based filters

While there are ways in which you can filter out data using legend there is also a need to filter data on a date range. For example you want to see data only for the last 6 months. We are very excited to add an additional capability to line charts using which you can filter based on a date range. Using these filters you will be able to quickly filter down to a predetermined date range quickly without having to modify the data set and navigate away from the report.

These filters have been enabled for a line chart which has a date field as the primary grouping field and are grouped by days, months or years. There is a new item on the chart toolbar that enables this option for applicable charts. You can configure up to 4 filters with the options as shown below.
