Archer announces general availability of Archer Release 6.9 SP2. This release delivers enhancements and new functionality for the Archer Platform.
Release 6.9 SP2 is immediately available in all languages supported by Archer, including English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, and simplified Chinese.
Updates to the Archer Use Cases in Release 6.9 SP2 include: (login required to access use case package links below)
- The Archer Operational Risk Management use case self-assessment interface has been updated to use Report Object and inline edit capabilities for users to perform Control Self Assessments (CSAs), Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSAs), and Process, Risk and Control Self Assessments (pRCSAs). Archer Administrators will have more flexibility to build assessments that match internal processes. Archer end users performing an assessment can leverage filters and manage column capabilities and will see significant performance improvements in display speed for assessments. Self-assessment generation, scoping and workflow are not affected by this enhancement.
- The Archer Loss Event Management use case has been updated with two new applications – Loss Event Impacts and Impact Approval Rules. Loss Event Impacts capture the losses incurred across multiple Business Units. Impact Approval Rules enables the owner to define monetary threshold ranges. Each range is associated with one Approver who can participate in approving the individual Business Unit impact.
- Dashboards for Archer Top-Down Risk Assessment, Archer Bottom-Up Risk Assessment, Archer Key Indicator Management, Archer Operational Risk Management, Archer IT & Security Policy Program Management, Archer Policy Program Management, and Archer Issues Management use cases have been updated to leverage the latest charting capabilities for improved visualization and interactivity.
- The Archer IT Security Vulnerabilities Program use case has been updated to incorporate the CVSS 3.1 scoring methodology.
- The Archer Enterprise Catalog package has been updated to provide capabilities for the Devices application in support of CVSS updates to the Archer IT Security Vulnerabilities Program use case. In addition, updates have been made to Business Processes and Business Unit to support dashboard modernization and the Loss Events Management use case.
Updates to the Archer Platform in Release 6.9 SP2 include:
- User Experience enhancements:
- The Archer logo has been updated in the navigation menu, login screens, letterhead templates and the Archer installer.
- A "Powered by Archer" logo is now visible in the footer bar.
- Silverlight has been removed in back office Administration pages for:
- Access Control > LDAP Configuration
- Workspaces
- Notifications > Global Notification Settings
- Notifications > Letterheads
- Notifications > Scheduled Report Distribution
- Notifications > Admin Notifications
- Notifications > On-Demand Notifications
- Administration enhancements:
- Integration with Elasticsearch has been updated to support Version 7.9.2.
- XML Notifications can no longer be created within the Archer Administrator user interface, per the previously issued retirement announcement.
As a reminder, the following Features are being retired:
- Elasticsesarch integration will be retired in the spring 2022 Archer release.
- Discussion Forum and Data Feed Manager Deep Sight 2.0 and 4.0 transport types – To provide additional time for migration, we have extended availability of these features to Release 6.9 SP2. However, the features are no longer supported. Access to these features will be removed in an upcoming release. Please review the blog on RSA Link for additional information.
- Archer Instrumentation Service – Effective as of Release 6.9, this service is no longer available. Please review the blog for additional information.
Archer recommends that customers running Archer Releases 6.5, 6.6, 6.7, 6.8, 6.9, or 6.9 SP1 apply this latest update. Please note that all releases are cumulative. If you are running Archer Release 6.2 or earlier, you must first upgrade to Release 6.8 and then upgrade to Release 6.9 SP1.
