Description:

RSA announces general availability of RSA Archer Release 6.3. The release includes new use cases for Regulatory & Corporate Compliance Management, updates to use cases for Business Resiliency and Public Sector solution areas, enhancements to critical RSA Archer platform functions related to usability, scalability and stability, and a number of software fixes.

Release 6.3 includes the following new use cases designed to help organizations address applicable privacy requirements such as GDPR, under the RSA Archer Regulatory & Corporate Compliance Management solution area.

• RSA Archer Data Governance
  • This new use case assists organizations in better documenting data governance requirements to help improve support for applicable data privacy regulations (such as HIPAA, GLBA and GDPR) and other data protection requirements.
  • The use case includes capabilities to help implement data management processes and applications to help manage Processing Activities, Notice and Consent, Retention Schedules, and Privacy Roles and Responsibilities and a new questionnaire based on Article 30 of GDPR.

• RSA Archer Privacy Program Management:
  • This new use case helps enable organizations to manage a privacy program and help align processes with applicable privacy regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, GLBA and others.
  • The use case includes privacy assessment processes as well as the capability to help manage and track regulatory cases related to data privacy; new assessments including Privacy Impact Assessment, Data Protection Impact Assessment, and Data Identification Assessment; and new applications for Data Protection Projects and Regulatory Communications.

The following updates to use cases in Business Resiliency, Public Sector, and Regulatory & Corporate Compliance Management solution areas are included in Release 6.3:

• Business Resiliency
  • RSA Archer Resiliency Management
    • The use case has been renamed RSA Archer Crisis Management.
    • The Crisis Event application has been updated to align workflow with standard stages of crises, along with the addition of a new analysis capability designed to help organizations to determine severity based on a series of questions.
    • New mail merge enables extraction of After Action Reports.
    • The Lessons Learned Assessment has been updated to help organizations support the post-crisis process.
  • RSA Archer Incident Management
    • Incident-to-Crisis Escalation has been added to help escalate an operational incident recorded in the Incident Management use case into a crisis event managed via the Crisis Management use case.
    • The Incident application has been updated with a series of questions to generate an incident severity.
    • Emergency Notifications have been added.
  • RSA Archer Business Continuity & IT Disaster Recovery Planning
    • Test exercises can be automatically created to help ensure BC/DR plans are tested on an appropriate schedule.
    • New dashboards and reports enable focus on key personas such as BC/DR Analyst, BC/DR Manager, and Business Resiliency Executive.

• New mail merge templates are designed to help organizations with BC/DR plans based on customer feedback and industry standards, and to help with crisis events within the Crisis Management use case.
• RSA Archer Business Impact Analysis
  • Updated to cross-reference the Business Processes application to the Third Party Engagements, BC/DR Plans, and Activated Plans applications
  • New dashboard for Business Process Owner displays process-related information on one screen

• Public Sector Solutions
  • RSA Archer Assessment & Authorization (A&A) and RSA Archer Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) Management
    • Personally identifiable information (PII) data processing details can be documented in the System of Record Notice (SORN) to support applicable privacy initiatives.
    • Usability improvements leverage new RSA Archer 6.x platform capabilities, along with a new workflow that helps with NIST RMF, ICS, FedRAMP and CNSS.
    • Advanced workflow has been implemented to help reduce time and effort to assess information systems, maintain control documentation, and manage remediation efforts.
    • Controls based on NIST 800-82 have been added to help with SCADA or Industrial Control Systems (ICS). 

• Regulatory & Corporate Compliance Management
  • The RSA Archer PCI Management use case has been updated to help customers address the most recent release of PCI (Payment Card Industry) standards (3.2).

Release 6.3 also includes a number of enhancements to the RSA Archer Platform:

• System Administration Dashboard – This pre-built dashboard enables administrators report system activity such as data feeds, user activity, object usage, and more.
• Bulk Record Operations – Users can select and update multiple records at one time, across a variety of field types.
• Direct to Edit – Users can enter the data input screen with one click, saving time and effort.
• Expanded color configurations – Administrators can configure the user interface to match corporate design and branding guidelines.
• Silverlight removal continues with updates to the RSA Archer Package Generation.

RSA recommends that customers running RSA Archer Release 5.5, 6.0, 6.1, or 6.2 apply this latest update. Please note that all releases are cumulative.

• For upgrades from RSA Archer Release 6.0 or earlier:
  • This requires a new license key that is specific to your environment.

• Upgrades from RSA Archer Release 6.2 do NOT require a new license key. Download the Release 6.3 installer on RSA Link.
• DO NOT install the new 6.3 license key to your 5.x environment. Doing so could result in some content becoming unavailable.
