This serves as your first step in the Archer learning journey. Use this introductory course to get an overview of Archer and learn about Archer's role in Integrated Risk Management. You will review a foundational skills video and obtain more information on Archer learning opportunities to help decide which learning path best aligns with your organizational role.

Deployment Options

This 30-minute On-demand course explores each deployment scenario available for Archer. The training content also includes criteria for decision-making purposes and shows why or when you may choose one deployment option over the other.

Archer New User Experience

This activity-driven course will guide new Archer users in navigating the user interface, entering records, completing assigned workflow tasks, searching, reporting, and customizing the interface. 

*Beginning 2023, this class is available only in the on-demand option, unless scheduled as a dedicated/private course for a specific organization.

Archer Special Focus: Searches, Reports, and Dashboards

This on-demand, self-paced course and accompanying lab is designed for users who need reporting skills, but do not need more comprehensive courses designed for Archer administrators, business analysts, or power users. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of creating complex charts and reports using Archer’s advanced search tools, as well as designing dashboards and workspaces to optimize tracking and efficiency.

Developing Archer Power Users and Business Analysts

This two-day course is designed for Archer “power users” who have surpassed basic end user functions and would like to extend their Archer skills, but do not need administrator-level training.  Power users will gain guided practice with advanced searching and reporting, creating and running data imports, creating and organizing widgets and dashboards, and high-level exposure to Archer Advanced Workflow, access control, and advanced records management.

Archer Solutions & Use Cases Overview - New!

In this free course, you will learn about the Solution Areas and Use Cases that Archer has to offer, along with the basic information needed to get you started using them. This class will also help you get familiar with the Archer Online Documentation and other resources Archer has to offer.

Archer Administration I

This 4-day training course is intended to give new Archer platform administrators a foundation of knowledge that will equip them to build applications, set up access control, and create dashboards and reports for their users. After taking this training, students will be able to begin planning, configuring, and managing an Archer environment.

Archer Administration II

This 4-day course is intended for Archer administrations and introduces advanced topics while expanding on material already obtained in Administration I. After completing this course, participants will be able to configure an Advanced Workflow, build data feeds, develop questionnaires and questionnaire campaigns, and create complex report types not covered in Administration I.  Participation in Archer Administration I or equivalent work experience is strongly suggested to be successful in the course. Admin I topics will not be covered in the course.

The Archer Platform offers incredible flexibility in terms of what can be built and configured. This 20-minute course contains best practice suggestions to consider when configuring applications and the associated data displays within Archer.

This self-paced training with lab provides instructions for installing Archer and upgrading that installation to a newer version. Also included are troubleshooting exercises for various situations that might arise while installing or upgrading Archer. Estimated time to complete is 8 hours.

This course is a high-level overview of the Archer Control Panel for on-premises installations and Archer Instance Manager for SaaS clients.  The course reviews standard features of both applications as well as common tasks, optional plugins, monitoring tools, and instance configuration.

Using Mail Merge with Archer - New!

This free course covers how an Archer administrator can integrate the mail merge feature from Microsoft Word to generate dynamic reports in Archer. It consists of interactive content, links to external information, and a demonstration video. The course also provides an interactive guide which an Archer Administrator can use to practice incorporating mail merge in their organization's development environment.

Archer Single Sign-On - Beyond the Basics

This self-paced training with lab provides a detailed overview of Single Sign-On (SSO) in Archer and how to configure using Windows Integrated and Active Directory Federated (AD FS) services. It includes a guide for investigating SSO issues. Participants will be able to engage in troubleshooting sample problems that may arise.

This self-paced training with lab provides a detailed overview of LDAP in Archer, including a decision tree flow chart for investigating LDAP issues. Participants will be able to engage in troubleshooting sample issues in the accompanying hands-on lab.

Are you an existing Archer customer interested in API integration? This 30-minute On-Demand learning will cover all the basics to get you started! This course is an introduction to APIs as a general concept and explains how APIs can be used with Archer.

Archer APIs - A Deep Dive and Lab

APIs carry importance in the modern IT world due to their role in allowing unconnected applications to exchange data and features. Archer uses APIs both within its infrastructure as well as with third-part integrations. This allows Archer users to connect their Third-party tools or applications to Archer. In this course, we'll explore some different ways Archer administrators might use APIs. The course assumes learners have a basic understanding of coding.

Troubleshooting Performance Issues in Archer 

Occasionally, Archer on-premises deployments may experience performance issues related to their own instance of Archer or their underlying infrastructure. This course covers key points for troubleshooting these kinds of issues.

Packaging in Archer 

This course explains the purpose and benefits of Packaging and describes situations when you might use the Packaging feature. At the end of the course, participants will be able to create, generate, and download a package. They will also import, map, and install packages. Other topics in the course include updating Use Cases, the Package Generation Log, best practices, and troubleshooting packaging issues.

This course explores Custom Objects in Archer. It provides examples of how custom objects are used to customize UI Layouts, manipulate and limit data fields, format content, and it will look at some ways to troubleshoot when things don't go as expected.

Archer Engage - The Basics and Beyond

This course includes an overview of Archer Engage and discusses how to install the Archer Engage Agent. It includes how to set up both Archer Engage for Vendors and Archer Engage (formerly known as Archer Engage for Business Users). Additionally, it provides some troubleshooting tips and tricks and reviews how to retrieve the Archer Engage Agent logs.
